Mylar Film

Mylar is the DuPont brand for the transparent film that they developed using polyethalene terephthalate (PET). Mylar has is now a common name used for many different types of PET film. We offer this incredibly durable polyester film in a clear or translucent matte version.  Mylar is 4 mil thick. Film will not tear or lose shape over time. Mylar is great for templates, engineered structures, blueprint overlays, product overlays, and product drawings, art installations, and more. Anytime you have project plans that you want to be able to see or pass light through, trace, or overlay – Mylar is a great option! Please designate which type of film – Frosted (the traditional matte version of Mylar) or Clear (fully transparent like plexiglass) when ordering.

If you have tight tolerances for your printing, please contact our customer service at 888.507.1002.  Mylar will stretch with heat.  We print Mylar with a cold printing process that minimizes stretching and produces a tighter print.
